Al Capone family home in Park Manor sells for $226,000 almost double the asking price of $109,900.

Built in 1905, the 2,820-square-foot building on South Prairie Avenue in Chicago, IL has six bedrooms, two bathrooms and is being sold as a multifamily unit. It has three bedrooms on each floor. The home sits on a 68-foot-wide lot and features hardwood floors throughout, wood trim and molding, and large octagon-style living rooms in each unit.

According to listing website Zillow, Al Capone moved into the South Side home in 1923 with his wife, Mae, and mother, Teresa, both of whom were listed as owners of the house according to the Chicago Tribune. Capone bought the home in 1923 while working as the right-hand man to crime boss Johnny Torrio. He reportedly paid $5,500 for the two-flat brownstone.
